Who is Christ?

Jesus Christ is God (Colossians 2v9)

He is the eternal Son of God (Micah 5v2b; Hebrews 1v8-12)

He is the Creator and Sustainer of life (John 1v3; Colossians 1v16-17)

He is the Only Saviour from sin (Acts 4v12)

He is the Judge we must all give account to (2 Corinthians 5v10; 2 Timothy 4v1)


What is Christ like?

He is Sinless (2 Corinthians 5v21; 1 Peter 2v22; 1 John 3v5)

He is Eternal and existed before the world (Micah 5v2; John 17v5)

He is Almighty (Revelation 1v8) He is Unchangeable (Hebrews 13v8)

He Knows Everything (John 21v17)

He is Present Everywhere (Matthew 28v20)


He is God and Man

He was born of the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1v18+23; Luke 1v34-35)

He is Perfectly Human (John 1v14; Galatians 4v4).

He was tired (John 4v6), hungry (Matthew 4v2)

He is the Only Mediator between God and men (1 Timothy 2v5)


What did Christ do for us?

He came to save sinners (Matthew 1v21; 1 Timothy 1v15)

He died on the cross for our sins (Isaiah 53v5-6; 1 Corinthians 15v3b)

He died as our Substitute (2 Corinthians 5v21; 1 Peter 3v18)

He paid the full price for our sins (Hebrews 10v12; 'It is finished' John 19v30)

He rose from the dead (Matthew 28v6; John 10v17-18; Romans 1v4; 1 Corinthians 15v4)

His blood cleanses from all sin (Colossians 1v14; 1 John 1v7; Revelation 1v5)

He ascended into heaven (Mark 16v19; Acts 1v9) where He lives to make Intercession for His own redeemed people (John 17v20; Romans 8v34; Hebrews 7v25; 9v24)
